What is PCP pneumonia?

PCP pneumonia is an airborne disease of the lungs caused by a fungal infection. It occurs most often in people with low immune systems, such as AIDS patients, cancer patients, and transplant patients. Patients develop fever, difficulty breathing, cough, and expectoration.
