What causes laryngitis in children

Laryngitis in children is mostly caused by viral infection, Staphylococcus aureus and Streptococcus pneumoniae infection. It may also be induced by measles, influenza and pneumonia. Laryngoscopy should be performed in hospital. Children with laryngitis should pay more attention to rest, drink more hot water and keep the throat moist.
