How to treat tonsillitis suppuration

Because purulent tonsillitis is often associated with streptococcal or staphylococcal infections, active anti-inflammatory treatment is required first. Adequate antibiotics are recommended, mainly cephalosporins. If accompanied by tonsillar abscess, incision and drainage are also required.
