Blood routine check-up will detect syphilis

General blood tests cannot detect syphilis. Treponema pallidum antibody testing or rapid plasma reagin test and other related tests are needed to determine whether syphilis is present in the patient. once syphilis is diagnosed, active treatment is needed to control the progression of the disease.
