What to do when paronychia is committed?

If symptoms of onychia are mild, soak the affected area in warm water. Hydrogen peroxide can be added to the water to relieve pain and swelling. Antibacterial cream can be used externally if necessary. Antifungal ointment should be added if complicated with fungal infection. If abscess has formed and needs to be cut open, remove part of nail if necessary.
