What causes neonatal jaundice?

Neonatal physiological jaundice is not a pathological state, is a normal physiological phenomenon, without treatment, can resolve on its own. The main cause of it is related to bilirubin metabolism in the body, when the oxygen partial pressure suddenly rises, causing red blood cells to rupture, bilirubin can not be cleared, it will cause jaundice phenomenon.
