Acute gastritis may be caused by bacterial virus infection, frequent eating spicy and overheated food and taking drugs. Symptoms of appetite loss, nausea and vomiting, abdominal distension and abdominal pain, fever, hematemesis and hyperactivity of bowel sounds, shock and acidosis may occur in severe cases.
