Postoperative ileus needs to be treated according to the type of obstruction. Patients can go to the general surgery department of the hospital. Simple adhesive ileus can be relieved by non-surgical treatment such as gastrointestinal decompression and fluid replacement. Severe adhesive ileus or strangulated ileus need surgery.
