If acute appendicitis symptoms occur, the pregnant woman should be admitted to hospital for surgical removal of the appendix. If the appendicitis symptoms are mild, antibiotics and fluid therapy can be prescribed. Breastfeeding should be suspended during treatment to prevent drugs from entering the baby's body.
