What is the difference between chickenpox and smallpox?

Chickenpox, measles and smallpox are essentially different. First, chickenpox is caused by varicella-zoster virus infection and is self-limiting. Second, measles is caused by measles virus infection and is also self-limiting. Finally, smallpox is caused by smallpox virus infection and requires antiviral treatment.
