Children with thumb fractures should brake the affected limb and seek medical examination in time. If there is no displacement, small splint fixation is feasible. If displacement occurs, surgical internal fixation is required. External fixation can be removed 2-4 weeks after surgery, and it takes about three months to fully recover. Internal fixation takes 3-6 months to fully recover.
