Irreversible dry eye

Dry eye is a very difficult disease to cure and is usually irreversible. Dry eye is mainly caused by eye inflammation, Sjogren's syndrome, and excessive evaporation of tears. The disease can be treated with replacement of tear components or eyelid plasty.
