Can acute sinusitis in children be completely cured?

Acute sinusitis in children is an acute suppurative inflammation of the sinuses, usually secondary to rhinitis. Most children can be completely cured. Antibiotics are usually given in sufficient quantities to control the infection, and systemic hormones can be used if necessary. Ephedrine can be instilled in appropriate amounts if nasal secretions are not flowing properly.
