Empowering you to live healthier.
The left embryonic posterior cerebral artery is a type of embryonic posterior cerebral artery. It is a common variation of Willis circle in human brain. According to the different structure of this variation, it can be divided into complete embryonic posterior cerebral artery and partial embryonic posterior cerebral artery. Complete embryonic posterior cerebral artery means that posterior cerebral artery has no anterior communicating segment and directly continues from posterior communicating artery. Partial embryonic posterior cerebral artery is mainly supplied by internal carotid artery. Regardless of the type, embryonic posterior cerebral arteries may present clinically with headaches or may cause bleeding or ischemic lesions in the brain. This condition should be evaluated by digital subtraction angiography and treated accordingly.
