Is EEG safe?

EEG is a noninvasive technique in which electrodes record the spontaneous, rhythmic electrical activity of brain cells. During EEG, electrodes are connected to the head to reflect different brain regions. EEG, like ECG, amplifies and records biological electrical activity, so it does not radiate or stimulate the body. However, in the process of examination, sometimes in order to improve the positive rate of examination, some induction experiments such as hyperventilation and flash stimulation may be carried out on the patient, which may cause some discomfort, but these discomfort feelings are transient and will not cause long-term damage to the body.
