How to treat insufficient blood supply to the brain in the elderly

Restoring health, restoring hope.
The main risk factors of cerebral blood supply deficiency in the elderly include hyperlipidemia, hypertension and diabetes mellitus. The commonly used drugs to improve blood circulation are Shuxuening, Weinaolutong and Shuxuetong. The drugs to soften blood vessels are sibelium and vitamin E. If the patient has diabetes, metformin, repaglinide, and glucosamine should be given as the main antidiabetic therapy. If the patient has severe blood sugar elevation, subcutaneous insulin may also be given. If the patient has hypertension, oral levamlodipine, amlodipine besylate, or oral valsartan and irbesartan may be given to regulate blood pressure. If the patient has hyperlipidemia, statins, including simvastatin, rosuvastatin, and atorvastatin, are routinely used. Fenofibrate is routinely administered when triglyceride levels are greater than 5.6 mmol/L.
