How does an MRI tell if there's meningitis?

Your health is my mission, your recovery is my joy.
Clinically, it is difficult to determine whether meningitis is diagnosed by MRI, because most patients with meningitis will show normal MRI examination, only a few patients with severe meningitis can show that the meninges need to be strengthened by MRI examination. Clinically, it is generally judged whether a patient suffers from meningitis. Normally, it is based on the patient's clinical manifestations, such as headache, fever and meningeal irritation symptoms. At the same time, lumbar puncture cerebrospinal fluid examination is performed. If there is abnormality in lumbar puncture cerebrospinal fluid examination, it can basically be considered that the patient suffers from meningitis. Then, according to the classification of lumbar puncture cerebrospinal fluid, it can be further determined whether the patient suffers from viral meningitis. It is still tuberculous meningitis or cryptococcal meningitis, and then the next treatment plan can be formulated.
