Hand cut by knife. Tetanus shot?

Hand cuts should be washed immediately with running water, and then local disinfection with iodophor. It is best to be admitted to hospital within 24 hours of the cut. Because the cut may contain tetanus bacteria, it is easy to cause local wound infection.
