Do you get rabies from dog bites?

Rabies may be contracted from dog bites. Patients are advised to wash their wounds with soapy water and disinfect them. They are advised to get rabies vaccination at a local vaccination station within 24 hours to prevent rabies as much as possible. Avoid eating spicy food after vaccination.
