What does urine routine leucocyte mean

Restoring balance, one patient at a time.
Urine routine white blood cells refers to white blood cells found when doing urine routine examination.
There may be a small number of white blood cells in normal urine. Generally, 1-2 white blood cells per high-power field of centrifugal urine belong to normal. If there are too many white blood cells per high-power field of centrifugal urine, it is considered to be caused by diseases such as urethritis, cystitis, glomerulonephritis, etc., and is related to pathogens such as Escherichia coli, staphylococci, fungi, viruses, etc. In addition, it may also be caused by urethral stones, ureteral stones, etc.
Patients need to go to the hospital for further urine culture, ultrasound examination, etc. to confirm the diagnosis.
