What does left spermatic cord hydrocele mean

Guiding you towards wellness.
Left spermatic hydrocele refers to cystic hydrocele formed when the sheath process in the left spermatic cord is not closed.
Left spermatic hydrocele may be related to congenital abnormalities. Patients mainly present as a mass in the left inguinal region or above the testicle. After involving the left spermatic cord, the mass will move, but there is no obvious change in the mass when changing the position. When the hydrocele is small, the patient generally has no discomfort. When the hydrocele is large, the patient may feel a sense of swelling and pulling.
If the hydrocele is small and the patient has no obvious discomfort, it generally does not need special treatment, and the hydrocele can be absorbed by itself. However, if the hydrocele is large and the patient has obvious discomfort, it needs to cooperate with the doctor for surgical treatment, such as partial resection of the hydrocele, laparoscopic high ligation of the sheath process, etc., to control the condition.
