Where are the testicles located?

Restoring balance, one patient at a time.
Testes are located in the scrotum of a man and are an important part of his reproductive system.
Each man usually has two testes, which are sperm production factories. There are many small tubes inside the testes, called spermatic cords. The cells in the spermatic cord divide and develop continuously to form mature sperm. In addition to producing sperm, the testes are also responsible for secreting androgens, such as testosterone, which plays an important role in male sexual development, libido, bone and muscle development, and voice deepening. The position of the testis in the scrotum allows it to maintain a suitable temperature, which is conducive to the production and storage of sperm and hormones.
