Huanglian Shangqing Tablet is a Chinese patent medicine for clearing away lung and stomach fire. The Chinese patent medicine comprises Chinese goldthread root, gardenia fruit, forsythia fruit, chrysanthemum, phellodendron bark, gypsum, platycodon root, scutellaria root, angelica root, etc., and has wind-heat dispersing, fire-heat purging and analgesic effects. It can be used for treating sore throat, nasal obstruction, yellow discharge, headache, dizziness, eye swelling, sore mouth, dry mouth, dry stool, tinnitus and deafness caused by wind-heat attacking upward and stagnated heat in lung and stomach. Huanglian Shangqing tablets are bitter and cold, so those with deficiency of spleen and stomach are not suitable for taking them.
