Where is the urethral sphincter?

Urethral sphincter is located in the middle of the urethra. Male and female urethral sphincter are located in different positions. Male urethral sphincter is located in the bladder neck and bladder tip, while female urethral sphincter is located in the middle of the urethra. However, the role of urethral sphincter is the same, mainly to control micturition muscle tissue. If urethral sphincter is damaged, it may affect urinary control ability, causing urinary incontinence and inconvenience to daily life.
