Prostate specific antigen (PSA) is a prostate specific antigen. Whether prostate biopsy is needed for high PSA should be analyzed according to specific circumstances.
If the value of prostate specific antigen is not more than 10ng/ml, and no abnormality is found by prostate B ultrasound and MRI examination, prostate biopsy is generally not required. However, if the value of prostate specific antigen is more than 10ng/ml, or suspicious lesions are found in prostate area by prostate B ultrasound and MRI examination, prostate biopsy is required.
It is recommended that subjects with high PSA actively cooperate with relevant examinations to clarify the condition. once the disease is diagnosed, timely treatment should be carried out to control the development of the disease.
