Ureteral calculi usually cause pain for 3-7 days.

For some small stones, especially in the case of smooth expulsion process, it generally does not cause obvious stimulation and damage to the urinary tract mucosa, and the pain usually relieves and disappears in about 3 days. However, if the stone is relatively large in size, or in a relatively narrow position, such as the pelvic ureteral junction, the ureter across the iliac vessels and the ureter-bladder junction, it may cause obvious damage, and the pain generally lasts for about 7 days. In addition, some people are more sensitive to pain, which will also prolong the pain.
