What is Nephroptosis?

Nephroptosis is usually caused by perirenal ligament relaxation, abdominal wall muscle relaxation, trauma, and reduced fat around the kidney.

1. Perirenal ligament relaxation

If the ligaments around the kidney are relaxed, resulting in the kidney not being fixed, it can appear to decline, causing nephroptosis.

2. Abdominal wall muscle relaxation.

Female labor is easy to cause abdominal wall muscle relaxation, causing intra-abdominal pressure to decrease, abdominal wall support for the kidney to decline, prone to nephroptosis.

3. Trauma

If local external force is impacted, leading to rupture of ligaments around the kidney, nephroptosis can occur.
