How to correct elbow valgus

Dedicated to your healing journey.
Generally, when the elbow is fully extended, it has a valgus angle, about 10 degrees in men and 15 degrees in women, called the carryover angle. If this angle increases, that is, the forearm is too far out, it is called a valgus deformity. This disease often occurs when the fracture of the lower end of the humerus is malunited. Another possibility is that the lateral bone growth disorder, caused by trauma or infection, can lead to an elbow valgus deformity. Generally speaking, a mild elbow valgus deformity does not need to be corrected because it does not affect joint motion or joint strength. However, if there is a significant deformity, it can be corrected by an osteotomy of the lower humerus in adulthood.
