Rinse the scalded area with cold water for more than 20 minutes immediately after scalding to reduce the severity of scalding. Disinfect the blisters locally with iodophor and suck out the liquid in the blisters with sterile syringe to keep the blister surface intact. Apply sterile gauze to bandage the scalded area.
