Children with fever may present with a variety of rashes, depending on the type of disease. If fever is followed by urticaria, it may present as edematous erythema or wheals. If acute rash occurs in young children, it may present as reddish, densely distributed red pimples. If scarlet fever occurs, it may present as skin flushing, densely distributed needle-tip-sized rashes, appearing as matte. If chickenpox occurs, it may present as blisters.
