Beriberi is associated with fungal infection, which can cause itching and peeling of the feet. For this phenomenon, patients can be treated locally with antifungal drugs; in the near future, foot hygiene care should be strengthened, comfortable, cotton shoes should be worn, and feet should be kept clean and dry.
