Measles is a common infectious disease caused by measles virus infection. It is normally transmitted by droplets through the respiratory tract and conjunctiva. It is most common in children under five years of age. After an incubation period of 9 to 11 days, the patient presents with mild fever, gradually rising temperature and obvious mucosal catarrh symptoms. Rashes extend from the back of the ears to the cheeks, chest, back and abdomen, and limbs. The lesions are rose-colored macules or papules with normal skin between them. Koplik's spots can be seen on the mucous membranes on the first to second days of the onset. Bronchopneumonia, laryngitis, encephalitis and cardiac insufficiency can also be combined. The symptoms of itching in patients with measles are not particularly obvious. Therefore, once the itching of measles patients is shown, it must be considered whether it is true measles. If measles has been identified, the corresponding symptomatic treatment can be given, such as oral antihistamines to relieve itching. Calamine lotion can be used externally to prevent scratching. In addition, be sure to take into account if it is not measles, but other diseases. For example, drug eruption, that is, measles or scarlet fever type drug eruption, usually accompanied by obvious itching, to give anti-allergic treatment. If symptoms appear, it is recommended to see a doctor as soon as possible.
