Why not chemotherapy for colon cancer?

Passionate about your health journey.
Chemotherapy for first-stage intestinal cancer is not considered to be limited to the primary site, without breaking through the basement membrane, and the surrounding tissues are not invaded. Surgical treatment can achieve radical cure. Surgery can completely remove the tumor without other adjuvant treatment. It can also be considered that the patient's physical condition is not suitable for chemotherapy, active gastrointestinal bleeding, gastrointestinal obstruction, perforation, embolism and other complications, which belong to contraindications of chemotherapy. If the examination shows that platelets and hemoglobin are relatively low and liver and kidney function is relatively poor, chemotherapy is not recommended.
