Advanced gastric cancer

Patients with advanced gastric cancer who meet the criteria may undergo extensive surgery to remove all of the stomach, remove surrounding tissues or organs if necessary, and perform lymph node dissection. If the body cannot tolerate surgery, severe complications such as gastric bleeding may be treated with hemostatic surgery to improve symptoms, and gastric cancer may cause intestinal obstruction, gastrointestinal bypass surgery may be performed. If the pathological type of gastric cancer is adenocarcinoma, immunotherapy can be considered in the advanced stage to inhibit the immune evasion function of tumor cells and improve the quality of life. Compared with radiotherapy and chemotherapy, the side effects are smaller.
