Gastric mucosal atrophy is a disease characterized by cell loss and degeneration of the gastric mucosa.
Gastric mucosal atrophy refers to a disease in which the cells of the gastric mucosa decrease and deteriorate, resulting in a series of uncomfortable symptoms. The causes of this disease are various, such as chronic gastritis, Helicobacter pylori infection, autoimmune reactions, and excessive acid. After the disease, due to decreased gastric function, patients may experience dyspepsia such as stomach distension and nausea. Over time, it may even lead to anemia and malnutrition.
