What are the symptoms of severe acute pancreatitis?

Restoring balance, restoring life.
The course of severe acute pancreatitis is divided into three periods: acute reaction period, systemic infection period and residual infection period.
1. Acute reaction period
Severe acute pancreatitis can begin with severe abdominal pain, fever, nausea, vomiting and other symptoms. This belongs to acute reaction period, which usually lasts for several days to about 1 week. During this period, due to pancreatic inflammation stimulation and tissue damage, may cause systemic inflammatory response, and lead to multiple organ function
impairment.2, systemic infection period
If the acute reaction period fails to get timely and effective treatment, the disease may further deteriorate into systemic infection period. During this period, the inflammatory reaction caused by pancreatitis has spread to the whole body, which may lead to dysfunction of multiple organ systems, such as lung infection, renal failure, cardiovascular system insufficiency
, etc.3. Residual infection period
If timely and effective treatment can be obtained during the systemic infection period, the patient may enter the residual infection period. At this stage, the inflammatory response to pancreatitis has been controlled, but there may still be some foci of infection and inflammatory response.
