Gastric cancer is cured in advanced stage, which is generally not true.

If gastric cancer has entered advanced stage, it usually means that the cancer has metastasized far away, such as liver, lung, etc., and the lesions are usually extensive. It is difficult to completely remove all tumors through surgery alone, so it is difficult to cure the disease. At the same time, patients with advanced gastric cancer may be unable to tolerate surgery due to physical weakness, malnutrition or other factors, or do not meet the indications for surgery. They can only take adjuvant treatments such as chemotherapy and radiotherapy, and cannot completely remove the lesions in the body, so it is difficult to achieve cure.
