What causes acute pancreatitis?

Acute pancreatitis in men is caused by alcoholism, pancreatic trauma, bile duct stones, etc.

1. Alcoholism and

long-term alcoholism are the main risk factors for acute pancreatitis in men. Alcohol can stimulate the secretion of a large number of digestive enzymes in the pancreas, leading to digestion of the pancreas itself, thus causing inflammation, namely acute pancreatitis.

2. Pancreatic trauma

If there is an accident such as abdominal trauma or car accident in men, it may cause pancreatic damage and cause acute pancreatitis.

3. Bile duct stones

If the stones in the bile duct are large in size, it may block the bile duct and lead to bile return to the pancreas, which is easy to cause acute pancreatitis.
