What causes biliary enteritis?

Cholelitis is caused by bacterial infection, viral infection, bile duct stones and other factors.

1. Bacterial infection

Cholelitis is caused by bacterial infection, especially Escherichia coli, Salmonella, Proteus and other bacteria.

2. Virus infection with

certain viruses, such as norovirus, adenovirus, influenza virus, etc., can also cause cholelitis.

3. Biliary

stones are stones formed in the gallbladder and bile duct, usually caused by cholesterol or bile pigment deposition in the gallbladder or bile duct. once biliary stones occur, due to stones blocking the bile duct, bile cannot flow normally, easily leading to biliary infection and inflammation, thus causing the onset of biliary enteritis.
