Colorectal polyps are characterized by changes in bowel habits, abdominal pain, and hematochezia.
1. Changes in bowel habits
Colorectal polyps may affect bowel habits. Some patients may experience constipation, feel that bowel movements are not smooth, or need to exert force to discharge stool. Some patients may also experience diarrhea or abnormal increase in bowel frequency.

Colorectal polyps with large abdominal pain may cause different degrees of abdominal pain or discomfort. This pain may be painful, colic, or pain, usually related to defecation.
3. Hematochezia When
large intestinal polyps are ruptured, it may cause obvious hematochezia. The color of hematochezia may be bright red or dark red, depending on the location and degree of bleeding.
