After taking Chinese medicine, I always fart. What's going on?

Restoring balance, one patient at a time.
After taking Chinese medicine, the patient always puts smelly fart, which is considered to be caused by physiological factors, drug reactions and combined gastrointestinal diseases.
1. Physiological factors
. Patients eat too much food that is easy to produce gas and high protein after taking Chinese medicine, such as soybean milk, tofu, onion, etc., which can ferment in the intestinal tract to produce hydrogen sulfide, indole, etc., resulting in the phenomenon of putting smelly fart. Some Chinese medicines taste bitter. Patients swallow large amounts of air by mistake when taking medicine, resulting in increased exhaust.
2. Drug reactions
If the patient takes Chinese medicines that regulate qi, such as Bupleurum, Cyperus, Fructus Aurantii, Toosendan, fingered citron, etc., it can regulate qi and promote intestinal motility, resulting in the symptoms of putting smelly fart.
3. Combined gastrointestinal diseases
If the patient has gastrointestinal diseases, such as functional dyspepsia, functional constipation, chronic gastritis, peptic ulcer, etc., it can also appear smelly fart after taking Chinese medicines.
