What are the symptoms of spinal metastases?

Healing with compassion, caring with purpose.
The symptoms of spinal metastases mainly include pain, limited activity, pathological fracture, spinal cord compression and nerve root stimulation.
1. Pain
is the most common symptom, usually persistent dull pain or swelling pain, which may be more obvious at night.
2. Limited activity
If the disease is serious, it may lead to bone destruction and stability impairment of the spine, resulting in limited activity.
3. Pathological fracture
If not treated in time, tumor cells may lead to bone destruction, or even infiltration by tumor cells, resulting in pathological fracture.
4. Spinal cord compression
with large volume may compress the spinal cord, resulting in numbness and weakness of limbs.
5. Nerve root stimulation
If tumor cells metastasize to the nerve root, it may cause nerve root compression, numbness and pain of limbs. Depending on the site of the lesion, the specific manifestations may vary, such as upper limb pain and numbness in patients with cervical lesions, radiation pain from the back to the chest and abdomen in patients with thoracic lesions.
