Symptoms of Retinopathy

Healing hearts, one patient at a time.
Symptoms of retinopathy may include blurred vision, floating matter in front of the eye, retinal hemorrhage, visual field defects, and night blindness. These symptoms may indicate retinal disease and require detailed examination and diagnosis.
Specifically, blurred vision may be caused by retinal disease that impairs visual signal transmission and interferes with normal light focusing and image formation. Floating matter in front of the eye may be vitreous opacity caused by inflammation or vascular damage in the eye. Night blindness is caused by abnormal function of rod cells or lack of nutritional support of pigment epithelium cells, resulting in poor vision at night or in low light environment.
