What is Bladder Thickening?

Restoring health, restoring hope.
Bladder thickening is usually caused by a variety of reasons, such as chronic cystitis, bladder outlet obstruction, neurogenic bladder, bladder tumor, etc.
1. Chronic cystitis
long-term inflammatory stimulation can make the bladder wall hyperplasia, thickening. For example, bacteria, mycoplasma, chlamydia and other infections persist, repeatedly stimulating the bladder mucosa, resulting in chronic inflammatory changes, and then bladder wall thickening.
2. Bladder outlet obstruction such
as prostatic hyperplasia, urethral stricture, etc. lead to dysuria, urine retention in the bladder, long-term increase in bladder pressure can cause bladder wall muscle thickening.
3. Neurogenic bladder
nervous system lesions affect the normal function of the bladder, leading to poor urination, may also cause bladder wall thickening.
4. Bladder tumor
part of the bladder tumor can be manifested as local thickening, and may be accompanied by hematuria and other symptoms.
