What is CIN3?

CIN3 is a serious stage of cervical precancerous lesions.

CIN3 means that cervical intraepithelial neoplasia has developed to a high level and is more severe. The lesion is large and the degree of cellular abnormalities is high. There is a high risk of progression to cervical cancer. If it is not treated in time, it may develop into invasive cervical cancer in a short time.

In general, this requires cervical cytology (such as Pap smear, TCT) combined with colposcopy and biopsy to confirm the diagnosis. Moreover, aggressive treatment is very critical. Common treatment methods include cervical conization to completely remove the lesion.

After treatment, patients also need to be closely followed up, with regular cytology, HPV testing, etc. to monitor for recurrence or residual lesions.
