If you're pregnant, test results with an ovulation test

Healing hearts, one patient at a time.
If you are pregnant, the test results are usually negative.
Ovulation test mainly detects luteinizing hormone levels in urine. During ovulation, luteinizing hormone levels rise significantly, prompting ovulation. However, after pregnancy, the ovaries stop ovulating, and the corpus luteum has transformed into corpus luteum, resulting in a significant decrease in luteinizing hormone secretion. Therefore, ovulation test results are usually negative when tested.
A negative result does not directly prove pregnancy, because the main function of ovulation test is to detect ovulation, not pregnancy. If pregnancy is suspected, it should be confirmed by using an early pregnancy test or a blood HCG test at the hospital.
