What is kyphosis?

Kyphosis is a spinal deformity in which one or more segments of the spine curve back from the midline of the body in the coronal plane, forming a curved spine deformity, usually accompanied by rotation of the spine and an increase or decrease in sagittal kyphosis or lordosis.
