Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD)

Inflammatory bowel disease can be treated by general treatment, drug treatment, surgery and other ways.

1. General treatment

patients should reduce the intake of irritating food, and reduce the burden on the intestinal tract by eating less and eating more. When diarrhea can be appropriately increased water consumption, prevent water electrolyte disorders.

2. Drug treatment

patients can use dexamethasone, hydrocortisone, prednisone and other drugs to reduce intestinal inflammation, to alleviate clinical symptoms.

3. Surgical treatment

When drug treatment fails or serious complications occur, surgery may be required. Surgery may include resection of affected intestinal segments, fistula repair, etc.
