Committed to your well-being.
There are two methods of Helicobacter pylori insufflation test: carbon 13 urea breath test and carbon 14 urea breath test. The specific analysis is as follows:
carbon 13 urea breath test: when carbon 13 urea breath test is performed, the patient blows once, swallows urea pills labeled with carbon 13, and blows again half an hour later. The gas is collected and detected on the instrument. If the test result is>4dpm, it is positive, indicating the presence of Helicobacter pylori infection.
carbon 14 urea breath test: when carbon 14 urea breath test is performed, the patient blows air in the test zone on an empty stomach, and then takes capsules containing urea carbon 14 with a small amount of water. Blow again half an hour later. If the test is>100dpm, it is positive, indicating the presence of Helicobacter pylori infection.
