Do gastroscopy precautions

Gastroscopy precautions include fasting, early examination, discontinuation of anticoagulant drugs, etc.

1. Fasting

patients should stop eating 6-8 hours before gastroscopy, stop drinking water 4 hours before gastroscopy, and conduct gastroscopy under fasting state.

2. Early examination

patients should draw blood 1-2 days in advance to check liver function and infectious diseases such as hepatitis B, hepatitis C, syphilis, AIDS, etc. ECG should be performed on the day of gastroscopy.

3. Anticoagulant drugs

should be discontinued 7-10 days before gastroscopy.
